The media in some British schools even require IELTS 7.5. If you apply for media, you need to score at least 7 in IELTS to be admitted to a more ideal school.

law

Due to the special nature of the profession and the small number of Hong Kong schools opened, the law also has relatively high requirements for language scores.

For example, the LLM of Hong Kong University requires IELTS 7 (minimum score 6.5) TOEFL 97, and the City University Law School's IELTS requirement is 7 points.

English class

The English category includes three directions: Linguistics, English Education and Translation. These majors will pay more attention to IELTS scores when they are admitted. For example, the TESOL major of HKUST clearly requires an overall IELTS score of 7 and a writing sub-score of 7.

IELTS test preparation advice

Six words: prepare early, register early. The admission principle for master’s degree in Hong Kong is first-come, first-served. The school will give priority to reviewing applicants with complete materials and language scores up to the standard; in other words, if no qualified language scores are submitted at the time of application, most schools will not review them. It must also be submitted by the application deadline at the latest.
