6. Use of results

Differences: The IELTS test is divided into A and G categories. The IELTS score of the A category can be used for the difference between the TOEFL and IELTS for studying abroad , and the IELTS score of the G category can be used to apply for immigration.

The new TOEFL scores can only be used for study abroad applications.

The same point: both can be used as a stepping stone to study abroad. And because of the authority of these two exams and the in-depth examination of the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, they are favored by foreign companies or multinational companies.

7. Score query

On the 10th working day after the IELTS test, candidates can check the test results through the "My Status" page of the IELTS test registration website. (Usually, the results can be checked on the Thursday of the next week)

Under normal circumstances, candidates can log in to the registration website to check their scores about 15 working days after the end of the test. Officially printed transcripts from ETS will then be sent to each test center for candidates to pick up. Candidates who need to send transcripts can make an agreement with the test center administrator in advance to send the transcripts for a fee.
