United States: Among more than 3,000 universities, 1,500 accept IELTS scores, and other universities require TOEFL scores.

UK, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, etc.: Both IELTS and TOEFL are accepted.

Australia: TOEFL scores are recognized, but IELTS scores are required for government visas, and IELTS scores are mainly required for university applications.

Japan: Both are accepted, but TOEFL is preferred.

South Korea: Both are accepted, but IELTS is preferred.

3. Exam content:

Both TOEFL and IELTS are divided into four parts: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Fourth, the use of results

Differences: The IELTS test is divided into A and G categories. The IELTS score of the A category is used for studying abroad, and the IELTS score of the G category can be used to apply for immigration. TOEFL scores can only be used for study abroad applications.
