other，others, another, the other, the others比较

1. other “其他的，另外的”，范围：三个或三个以上。 other+名词复数，泛指其余的人或物。Do you have other questions? 你有其他问题吗？

2. others “其他人”，指剩余的另一些人（并非全部），永远表示复数意义，且其后不能再接名词。相当于other+复数名词。如：Some people like walking. Some like running. Others like swimming.

有些人喜欢散步，有些人喜欢跑步，其他人喜欢游泳。 (这里“其他人”Others并非其他所有的人。)

3. another “又一（个），另一（个）”，泛指总数为三个或三个以上中的任意一个，another+名词单数。After the boy eats one apple, he asks for another (one). 小孩吃完一个苹果后又要了一个。

4. the other “（两者中的）另一个”。 常与one连用构成句型： “one…the other…” 一个……，另一个……He has two sisters. One is a doctor, the other is a teacher.

他有2个姐姐。其中一个是医生，另一个是教师。

5. the others “其他人”, 指剩余所有的人或物（范围大于2人）相当于 the other+ 复数名词，表示在一定范围内的其余所有的人或物。如：

There are 50 students in the class. Thirty are boy students and the others are girls. 班里三十人是男生，其他人都是女生。

（the others指班里剩下的所有的20个学生）

我不喜欢这个，请给我拿另外一个吧。

（3） one…the others…表示一定数目中的一个…其余的…

Of the ten girls, one is going to school, the others are going home.

在十个女孩中，一个去了学校，其余的都回了家。

（4） some…others…表示众多数目中的一部分…另一部分(但并非全部)…

There are plenty of people in the yard, some are singing and others are taking exerises.

有很多人在院子里，一些在唱歌，另一些在锻炼。

（5） some…some…the others…表示众多数目中的一部分…另一部分…,其余的全部…

The students of class six are working on the mountain, some are carrying water, some are digging holes, the others are planting the trees.

六班的同学正在山上植树，一些人抬水，一些人在挖坑，剩余的同学都在种树。
