Academic articles are selected from books, magazines, journals, and newspapers, not professional knowledge, but only language ability, and at least one article will contain detailed arguments.

Training articles are closer to life, choose articles related to daily life from newspapers, advertisements, manuals or other books, and examine candidates' ability to understand and use information. The test questions consist of a longer descriptive essay.

Writing test: consists of two essays.

Category A Task1 requires candidates to write an article of no less than 150 words based on the given table or chart, mainly to test the ability to describe and analyze data.

Task 2 requires candidates to write a short essay of no less than 250 words on a social issue or point of view, and to use a formal written style to discuss the issue and develop an argument.

Category G Task 1 requires candidates to write a letter of no less than 150 words asking for information or explaining a situation.
