English Around the World

Nowadays, the world is turning into a global village. In order to make effective communication with people from different places, a common language is needed. And English is just playing that part.

English is now being spoken all around the world. In many non-English-speaking countries, English, as the first foreign language is being taught from primary school to college. Many people major in English and make contribution to the spread of the language. And relative competitions are held every now and then for those who are interested in English.

There are a lot of different accents for English. In different countries, their English have different features. For example in China, we have formed our own accent and Chinese-like grammar which is called Chinglish. No matter what it has become, it's purpose for communication never changes.
