区别：

a large（great,good）amount of ＋不可数名词,谓语动词一般用单数；

但（huge,great,good）amounts of ＋ 不可数名词,作主语时,谓语动词要用复数.

意思是一样的，amount 后面动词是单数， amounts 后面动词用复数。

large amounts of 同上:大量的 都可接（但常接不可数名词） large amounts of money大量的钱 Its always been a place to store large amounts of data and nothing more.

a large number of 和 huge amounts of 的用法：

a large number of +可数名词复数， 表示 许多 huge amounts of + 可数名词复数或不可数名词（但不管跟哪种名词，其含义都是量而不是数量 ） ，两者谓语动词都用复数形式。

在英语中，修饰可数与不可数名词的量词：

a lot of既可数也可不可数,但是基本上在用到可数的时候用plenty of.

many可数 、much不可数、 few,可数、 little不可数 。

可数：a numbei of,the number of,many,few ,a few

不可数：huge amounts of,a great deal of,little,a little
